Hi all,
My employer has a need for a MIDI plug-in to hook up to our existing
architecture on MacOS X, which consists of a PCI card driver, a core
audio driver, and a user-space daemon process that manages
communication using mapped memory.
We're looking for someone who has made progress implementing a
user-space MIDI driver and who can provide us with a shell that
implements a basic MIDI plug-in and some consulting. This is the kind
of thing we'd normally use an Apple sample for, but the sample USB MIDI
driver is too platform-specific (we aren't supporting a MIDI device)
and the Echo sample does not demonstrate enough of the APIs. I started
to investigate the docs, but given that I'm implementing, managing, or
assisting the components above plus several others, I have too much to
do.
This is an opportunity for someone to do a little paid consulting work.
Please drop me a note. It should be a fairly small project; we have
previously implemented MIDI support on MacOS 9 and Windows and so our
user-space daemon just requires some simple calls.
Thanks,
Paul
