We will have something that can do all of this in the Panther release
of the SDK (though I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "RAW")
The code we're working on (hopefully this all gets done!), will also
show you how to use the matrix mixer to down mix from different channel
layouts, as well as both encoding and decoding ADTS files that have
quite a few different surround formats for AAC (various flavours from
mono to 8 channels).
So, all in all, could be interesting I think
