Hey Mike,

It seems like everyone has had to play the 'what devices are connected to my system' game with their apps. I've posted some source code for a simple patch editor that I've written. The code to check for devices connected and then create a drop-down menu is contained in only two functions. It is pretty well commented so it should be self serving. Feel free to take a peek at how I've gone about doing this. It is actually (pretty much) what Kurt had suggested.

Good Luck.
