How to get loop info from Audiofile

I use the AudioFile api to access the files,
but i also need to get the loopinfo.
If i look at Sound.h and Aiff.h
they both have structures with loopstart, end
but the Audiofile api can open SD2, wave, ....
what can i use that supports the same file types?
PS I filed a feature request for the Audiofile api.
