Kinesis corp. is having a holiday sale on their Advantage USB keyboards:
http://www.kinesis-ergo.com/advantage.htm
The sale price is $239 (regular $299).
I know that probably sounds absurdly expensive, but these are probably
the best ergonomic keyboards around. I have used 2 of them for 5+
years,
and just picked up a new one. If you spend most of your day typing,
you owe
it to yourself to check them out. It takes about a week to adjust to
the
changed layout, a bit longer if you're a heavy Emacs user (like me).
These
keyboards are especially beneficial for anyone that uses many modifier
keys (command, alt, control), as it places those keys under your thumbs.
Thanks to that, I can reliably perform common Emacs commands much,
much faster than on any other keyboard. In addition, *all* keys can be
re-mapped, and you can setup numerous macros, or even get one
setup for Dvorak...
Cheers,
Jim
