VST wrapper

Is anyone using EMagic's VST wrapper library to port their VST plugs
to AU? I can't even get the example they provide to work (the delay
plug just produces noise with Logic 5.4 and silence with Metro), so I
thought I'd check to see if the library is known not to work before I spend any more time trying to use it.
