I listened to the sample, I'm reasonably sure that the clicks are electrical
interferences. I already heard that from audio out and it was enhanced by moving
the cables.
What audio interface do you use? I know for sure some of them are very sensitive
to electrical interferences (even with the built-in audio of some apple laptops,
you can sometime hear what the processor is doing).
I guess having shielded cables or a better audio interface should reduce or
supress these noises.
