10.2.4 and mLan

Now that mLan is officially part of MacOS X, can we have more
information about what
is available ?
Does it mean that a connected mLan device automatically appear in
CoreAudio/CoreMidi
devices lists ?
I suppose that mLan devices like Yamaha interfaces need some
supplementary software
to access the extra features (mixer, effects...).
Does a Mac with 10.2.4 also behave like a mLan device ? (i.e. can I
connect two 10.2.4 Mac
using a firewire cable and exchange Audio/Midi with no additional
software ?)
