I would hazard that LAP6 is not using the AUGraph functionality whereas
Rax and SynthTest are. The AUGraph would drive the render functionality
for those apps.

Does Render() not even get called once?
Not even once in Rax or Synthtest... but works fine in LAP6 prerelease.
