They are AIFC files - AIFF cannot legally contain either little endian
or float data
Why is this a problem? - many Audio File apps won't read AIFC files,
but will read AIFF - something we hope that has either now been
addressed or is in process.
I would hope that the AudioFile changes in 10.2.3 would correctly
describe these as AIFC files as little-endian based files

Hello,
I'm using audio converters and i stumble across a problem:
When trying to convert a CD Audio track it seems the mFormatID flag
is not detected correctly...it says it's big endian whereas my memory
and quicktime player says it's little endian. Could anyone confirm
this? is it a known bug? I mean i tried with prestochango and
PlayAudioFile and the result is the same...
any ideas?
CD Audio tracks are indeed AIFF files with a **little** endian
encoding. I cannot tell you anything about the audio converter, did'nt
used it yet. Do you have any problem while playing the file (if bytes
are not swapped it gives a sound like a heavy white noise)?
