AUCarbonViewControl::ControlToParameter and ParameterToControl

I was just wondering, why are AUCarbonViewControl::ControlToParameter and
AUCarbonViewControl::ParameterToControl not virtual? They are the only
two methods that I want to override... I have changed my copy of
AUCarbonViewControl.h to declare these as virtual, but I was just
wondering if there was some reason for not making them virtual, and if
not, then perhaps they could be virtual in future SDK updates?
