MIDI Reset?

I have recently implemented the MIDIRestart call to scan for unplugged/plugged devices when my MIDI Setup dialog is entered. This works nicely to find USB devices that have recently been plugged in for me but some users are reporting now that the connection to the Midi interface is broken. The dialogue comes up and says my app is unable to find any Midi devices and the USB Device is greyed out in AMS. This has only happeneds since adding the MIDIRestart call.

What am I doing wrong?
