Oh well, my 2Cs worth:
In the orchestra, one refers to the wind section, the brass section, etc.
So...
"section"?

One that stood out in Marc's list, though, was "association". That is
kind of the opposite of "category", as described by Urs. And it doesn't
imply any particular usage. (Urs' descriptions are the same reasons I
don't like "category" and "collection".)
