OK - This is very interesting...

We've had a long week of discussing how this should work, and are in the process of sending out what we think is a template of expectations for this kind of functionality...

So - a note of caution

I think there will need to be some changes to the way this is implemented to completely accomodate the ability to layer parts on different control groups, etc...

I'm in the process of writing up a summary of what we think will work for this (and some more definitive statements of what we actually intended the group scope to address)...

So, Urs, I hope there's a pre-release disclaimer in this SDK :)

I'll get out a summary of this as soon as possible...

Hi list,

It's an 8 voice, 4-way multitmbral MusicDevice, utilizing GroupScope Elements as "Parts" or "Singles". Each Element has its own set of Parameters. GlobalScope Element zero is used for, uhm, global settings ("Multi")...

As expected, it does have some odd behaviours, like only GroupScope Elements 0 and 1 react on parameter changes, dunno what this is. Bill? Chris?

See yourself... (and help me a bit...)

Furtherly, there are some interesting points:

- latest CAUGui stuff (not yet doxygenized), with non-blocking mousing, CGImage Cacheing (thanks to Airy!!!)

- a super efficient analogue modelling technology for synthesis, based upon the simulation of capacitors, switches, rectifiers, resistors and stuff*

- mostly debugged note scheduling class, manages voice assignment and (as shown in the code) multitimbral distribution of note events. Logic safe (works with events that happen after next process buffer). Thread safe. I think.

- All in all, a working Music device template

Please comment.

Have fun,

;) Urs

*hahaahaaa. Fun, anyway.

Why I create audio plugins instead of using them?
