Huh? What are instruments? Why should a MusicDevice have a different
terminology for presets than other AUBase derivates?
Well, and regarding Zoyd, most of the formal stuff is still the same
status as nine months ago with only Airy's synth as peek-how's-it-done.
It sets up everything during initialization (as shown by Emagic sample
code once upon a time), so you can't query much before, only Channel
configs. And you can't set presets before initialization, I think.
