MIDISendSysex?

Dear list!

I am sending a sysex request to one of my devices. I am using a regular MIDIPacket to send the request (6 bytes). And MyReadProc receives the dump (8166 bytes) from the device but...

Is it ok to use a MIDIPacket to send a sysex request or MUST I use MIDISendSysex?

Is it ok to use MyReadProc to receive the dump or is it better to do it some other way?

Some code example that shows me the right way would be apreciated.

Peter
