Hi Airy,

I wouldn't be too sure about that. The usually well informed Heise website (www.heise.de) reports that Panther will basically be a 32 bit OS which will use some 64 bit portions in dedicated areas (dsp lib etc.). Over the time it should see a smooth transition to 100% 64bit.

However, as long as you properly use the sizeof (float etc.) macro (or what is it), a recompile should be sufficient, right?

I suppose that, when installed in 64 bits machines, Panther will need 64 bits CoreAudio drivers.
And that for 64 bits applications running on it, 64 bits AudioUnits will be needed.
Just to know what you should be prepared for...
I also hope the new developer tools will let us build 64 bits versions on 32 bits computers.
