I think this message is just the standard error that Logic provides for
problems and has nothing to do with memory as such....
I would guess that the -10108 is an error message generated by the AU
itself...

Yeah, I found that, but this doesn't sound like anything related
to a code resource not being found, especially since it doesn't
use code resources :-), so I'm guessing it's something
else?

I have no idea what to do about it, but I can tell you what is in
MacErrors.h:
telBadCodeResource = -10108, /* code resource not found
*/
Hello,
I downloaded Crystal and after unstuffing it installed it into
...library/audio/plug-ins/components/
(when crystal.sit is unstuffed I end up with a folder which is
actually a "package" i.e. can't be opened like a normal folder. Is
this right?)
In Logic 6 I try to instantiate Crystal as an audio instrument (just
like the EXS24) but when I try to do this I get the error message
"Core audio: Not enough memory to open plug in (-10108)." I exit the
dialog box with "continue." I have no idea how to increase memory in
OSX and have no idea why I can't load Crystal. Does anybody have any
suggestions?
To increase memory in OS X, go to a store and buy another RAM chip.
;)
