This works fine here for me, I just select PCI-424 in System
Preferences->Sound->Output panel.
It is only working on the first stereo out; on the 324 driver, I have 5
pairs of outs And I cannot re-direct on my second pair
And mine needs to be re-set to PCI-424 every few minutes, otherwise
my 2408 mk.III unit sends nothing out its digital outputs. This
seems to happen after each and every time I use the internal modem.
The input stays put, but the output, as shown in the left hand column
of the appropriate Audio/MIDI setup page, keeps reverting to
"built-in audio controller."
Of course, 10.2.4 (on my 6/'02 dual gig G4) crashes frequently and
reverts back to 1/1/1969, so this isn't the only problem I have. ;>)
(I know about the network time work-around).
