Perhaps others on the list could share their experience and techniques
for measuring the performance of real time code.
FWIW,
I just got turned on to Shikari, an app in the CHUD toolkit, (thanks to
Urs) and it's quite an amazing profiling tool that doesn't require any
instrumentation of your code or linking against special libraries...
just stabs-format debugging symbols.
