Well, AU has Initialize and Unitialize. That's a big step forward, I
think. That solves most of my gripes in that category with respect to
VST. But I agree that maybe the resources angle could be extended a bit
to allow for easier scanning (although admittedly I also kind of dislike
having too much stuff in the resources because then it's harder to
maintain the code).
