We will not do an API for semaphores...
However the SDK's PublicUtility has a set of very useful utility
services that we use internally and think are useful enough for others:
Some notable members:
CAGuard - using the p_thread mutex and is thread safe
CAStreamBasicDescription - yes its a knarly struct sometimes, and this
class takes care of it for you.
Many other things already there, and in process...
