Driver can not be be system default driver anymore

Hi,

We are developing a driver that use the AudioDriverPlugin API. Our driver
could be made the system default driver to be used by applications like
iTunes or QuikTime Player, like any other regular audio driver.

After upgrading to QuickTime 6.4 on Jaguar or on Panther, the driver can
not be the system default driver anymore. Actually it can be *selected* as
the the system default driver in configuration tools like Audio/Midi setup
or Preferences/Sound, but it seems that this setting is not saved in the
system and audio clients opened later can not recognize it.

Is this a bug ar something that has changed in QuickTime 6.4?

Thanks in advance for any info.

Stephane Letz
