EMI 2|6 hardware monitoring

I am using the EMI 2|6 for playing back 5.1 surround and simulatenously making binaural recordings. But I noted that the two input channels are always routed to the first two output channels ("low latency hardware monitoring"). Is there any way to switch this option off?

I know this question is not specific CoreAudio and appologize if it is off topic.

But anyways, someone of you may know, thanks,
