Digi 001 troubles

Got a user who's having trouble using a Digi 001 with ReVision. He says sound is coming out of his built-in speakers but the "Default Output" is set to the Digi 001. (And Revision uses the DefaultOutput unit which will revert to the builtin audio if it's denied access to the Default Output Device.)

Is this the same problem as with the MBox where only one client is allowed access to the driver at a time? He says that iTunes can use it and he's using Reason too - I'm trying to determine if he's used them simultaneously.

I don't want to send him barking up the wrong tree.
