I have just fixt the mono files issue of play-sndfile in libsndfile/examples and sent the fix to Erik.

I kindly appreciate your comments, which I find just what I hope them to be: both expert and relevant.
I also find very wise and sensitive from your side (since you started your collaboration with "a major fruit
company") to closely listen to the "voices" on the CoreAudio mailing list.

BTW, is there a system script which can be edited in such a way to disallow QuickTime to be the
default player (and almighty desktop arbiter of all audio-related files), for those who DON'T want it
to be, no matter how just or politically correct their reasons to do so are?
