Audio Card Asio driver Wrapper?????

People have built an Audio Unit Wrapper for VST.

Would it be possible to build a Core Audio Wrapper for a Mac OS 9 ASIO driver.

I have 2 Frontier Design Dakota cards that are sitting useless. I have been holding out hoping Frontier would release Core Audio drivers, but it seems that will never happen...
