g++ 3.3 has a new ABI and C++ code compiled with earlier versions will
not link with 3.3-compiled C++ code.
FWIH, 3.4 will do this again. :P
However, as Marc points out, 3.3 has been available for 10.2 for quite
a while (but using it from PB is not a straightforward process).
