Many audio outputs

  • Subject: Many audio outputs

I am searching for a solution that provides me with CoreAudio-controllable multichannel audio output on the scale of 30-40 channels.

I have examined the MOTU 24I/O in a stack configuration, but I think the drivers are ASIO, with no mention of CoreAudio. Is there any way to make that interface work with the CoreAudio API?

If not, are there any reasonable solutions for that many outputs that have CoreAudio drivers? I really don't need any inputs.

I did not find an answer in the archives, but how many output channels could be saturated on a dual-1GHz G4 assuming the audio interface was not the limiting factor on bandwidth.

Thanks,
Austin Shoemaker
