Hi Bill,

There's a Tech Note on this (TellListener is not an API)

AUEventListener is the API that supports this kind of
notification. It provides two events, begin / end
gesture, that don't have any arguments except of course
for the parameter involved.

... this new api is pretty clear for my particular point :

"Begin and end gesture notifications send a signal to say
that a parameter is about to be changed or has finished
changing."

However I'm using the old "direct notification" coming with
the old sdk.
What you implicitely say here is that I should go to the
new sdk which use the new api.

So I've another question :
How do this new API related/coupled to host like Logic ?
In an other way : adopting the new SDK won't break my
automation handling in hosts ?
