Switching Audio Devices on a HALOutputUnit and enabling input

  • Subject: Switching Audio Devices on a HALOutputUnit and enabling input

Given the preamble needed to activate input on a HALOutputUnit (i.e. configure input before setting the device then check that it's enabled after the device is set), can someone offer a way to redirect a configured HALOutputUnit to a new device and get HALOutputUnit-based input working with the new device (if input is available on that device)?

In other words:

Configure HALOutputUnit for input
Set HALOutputUnit to I/O Device A.
Initialize the Unit
Start getting input

Now switch HALOutputUnit to I/O Device B - how is it done so that I can get input from B? Do I need to uninitialize the HALOutputUnit then reinit it?

Thanks,

Robert.
