Do you have the same problem if you don't have any custom view
(GetNumCustomUIComponents() = 0) ?
At least you would be sure your view class is not guilty...
Have you ever seen The Big Blue Editor when filled up with no less than
483 parameters? My 2 Monitors can only display a little more than half
of it... Hahaha, I've uploaded a pdf for your entertainment:

Well, I can not reproduce the crash with the Logic controls view. None
of my beta testers could reproduce the crash in any other host than
Logic. And definately, when I tried with the "blank" editor, there was
*no Listener* doing anything at all.
I'm still puzzled. Is there a limitation for the number of parameters
anywhere?
