The AU problem can be because some of the views of an Audio Unit don't
respect the offset that they are given - that is easy to check by
running the AU in the AUHosting app in the SDK - that offsets the view
and can check the behaviour - if its a problem, then the AU
manufacturer will need to fix it.

Hey,
I have this problem with Logic where it the gui gets offsets and I
have to click like 15 pixels above where I want to click. Logic
claims it as an Audio Unit problem, which I have noticed battery tends
to do, but when I'm screwing around in the environment, even with no
plug-ins ever initiated it screws up. The only way I can fix it is by
restarting, or shutting down logic, putting my computer to sleep and
then restarting logic, not good since I'm about to play a live show,
don't really want this happening during it.
If it is audio units, anybody have any idea why this is happening
because I don't want it to happen to the synth I'm working on.
Thanks,
