[ANN] PYMIDI Framework 1.1

  • Subject: [ANN] PYMIDI Framework 1.1

While I'm in a posting mood...

I've released version 1.1 of my PYMIDI framework: http://pete.yandell.com/software/

This version handles device names correctly under Panther, has improvements in the way it deals with devices being connected or disconnected on the fly, and has a lot of little tweaks and fixes.

For those of you who haven't heard of it before, here's the advertising blurb:

The PYMIDI Framework makes it very easy to do all the things that a MIDI application commonly wants to do:
- let the user select MIDI sources and destinations
- handle the addition and removal of MIDI devices on the fly
- save references to MIDI sources and destinations in files
- send and receive MIDI data

It also provides a nice Objective-C interface to a lot of Apple's CoreMIDI functionality, while still allowing you to get at the underlying CoreMIDI objects to do more advanced things.
