Hi,
Subject: Re: problem w/ Matrix Mixer

Now mInputType got set to kNoInput when I disconnected the input. But
why is this worthy of yelling and screaming and causing the
MatrixMixer to stop rendering output? Why can't it just clear out the
buffers and return empty?
That's a bug in the MM that we've since fixed as described
previously...
This fix is available with QuickTime 6.5 (we updated the Core Audio
pieces with that release for both Panther and Jaguar systems to fix
this and other reported problems)
What exactly were the changes to the MM from QT6.4 to QT6.5? I have an
application using the MatrixMixer that is misbehaving since recently
and I'm not sure if it's related to the QT update or the changes I
made, and as I was blindly upgrading all my test systems to QT6.5 I
can't compare to QT6.4 without a reinstall.
In any case, even if it is a problem on my side, are there any
significant differences between the QT6.4 MM and the QT6.5 MM that I
must take care of when I want my application to work with both
versions?
Thanks,
Stefan

PS: I just wanted to say thanks to all you nice folks from the
CoreAudio team who are taking the time to answer our sometimes stupid
questions. Your answers help me a lot and your work is appreciated.
