What is preferred place to store non-AU patches?

Maybe it was discussed earlier, but I haven't found any similar topic. What is recommended place to store non-AU patches/presets/kits? I see that Library/Audio/Presets is reserved for .aupresets and Library/Audio/Sounds is for internal System/QuickTime.

I think Application Support folder is used for this, but I'd like to see it somewhere in Audio folder.

Thanks for advice

Pavol Markovic
