Warning: vague question...
I'm a user of Audiodesk 1 (MOTU, OS 9) and a
programmer (MS - sorry!) by trade, so this is more of
a curiosity/detective question. Anyway, Audiodesk 2
apparently worked under OS X until the Panther
release. With the Panther update, however, Audiodesk 2
does not work. I have no idea if this is related to
any core audio changes, but I figured it was a good
place to start. Any speculation, folks?
If you're wondering what's not working, it seems to be
random things according to MOTU tech support. The show
stopper for me is that I can't even register the
product. There's a dialog box that accepts a name and
key. When entered, it thinks for a second, then
returns the dialog box with both fields empty. This
suggests something other than an audio issue to me,
but who knows. MOTU acknowledges that this is a
problem and that it is related to the Panther update.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Oh, and if
any MOTU personnel are reading this, HOW ABOUT LETTING
YOUR CUSTOMERS KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON!! I've got money
sunk into a product that doesn't work, your tech
support has no idea what's going on, and customer
service's solution is to sell me an upgrade to DP 4!
