Is the EXS format just something that you need Logic/EXS24 to work
with, or is there a public specification?
TIA,
Chris

Hi Ben,
If you look in /Library/Application Support/GarageBand, you'll see
they're exs-based... though it's not immediately apparent (I've tried)
how to get exs patches created in exs24 to show up in GB and moving
GB's exs files to an EXS24 folder and attempting to load them results
in 'unknown file format' errors in EXS24.
I'm far more interested in when third-party soundware developers will
be able to get their hands on the new Apple Loops SDK... many of the
loops included in GB also have midi, exs patch and channel preset
information stored in the aif in addition to the transient and
categorization metadata.
Best,

Hi all,
I'm wondering if the virtual instruments in GarageBand are DLS or sf2
banks and if not, is the format published?
Thanks,
Ben
