Hi,

I made up a mostly empty description to write an AAC file (with no audio data), and it wrote, and the AudioFile API was willing to open it and get the data format - though the fields contained all 0's.

The main problem is that I don't know how to fill out the AudioStreamBasicDescription for AAC, does anyone know?

Hi,

Just to add info to this, I modified Apple's PlayAudioFile example to try the m4a and mp4 files with no success. Not surprising of course.
