I too am working on this same issue and also have some questions on how best
to do this.
I have been able to mostly adapt Kurt Revis' PlayBufferedSoundFile project
to do this. The only problem remaining is that v2 AU's require
de-interleaved input and the QT SoundConverter outputs interleaved data.
De-interleaving the data is not a difficult process but I'm sure there must
be a standard, efficient, CoreAudio approved way to do it.
It seems that the Apple AUConverter should be able to do this but I've had
no luck in getting it to work. If any knows how to make this work, or has
any other suggestions on how to best do this, I would appreciate the help.
As soon as this is working (and it's very close) I'll be passing these mod's
along to Kurt so that hopefully others will benefit as well.
