Hi, Everyone! this is my first message in this list!
I'm completely newbie to Objective-C, Cocoa and, for sure, CoreAudio...
In one week, I've managed to learn the first two... I've started to
port my project from RealBasic (yeah, I'm weak!) to Cocoa...
Everything it's fine... Till I discovered that CoreAudio is some
cryptic... not some: completely... :D
I'm kind of ambitious ... I'm trying to make the following class:
- A audio/music (MP3/AAC/etc) player capable of:
-opening a file to play <- Already did
-buffering before starting (starting paused, but pre-buffer, not only
while playing) <- Already did
-jumping to a desire location (playback position) in the song <- Did
it. -retrieving the EXACT playback position. <- Only I can know which
is the time from buffer reader, not actually playing.
-Set the volume and speed of the playback. <- Only volume.
-Playing the same sound through several (at least 2) sound outputs at
the same time <- HELP!
-Getting the sound wave, or energy wave, on real time or without
playing <- HELP!
-Applying band-equalizer <- HELP!
-Applying Audio Unit effects... <- HELP!
I need to know witch one of these are: Easy/Difficult/Impossible to do.
So, as you see... I'm a ambitious newbie :D
I'm trying to make a professional DJ product.
And I'm looking for guidance... or maybe partners.
