SetRenderCallback vs. SetInputCallback

  • Subject: SetRenderCallback vs. SetInputCallback

Hi everyone!
I've been pouring over the coreaudio doc's and SDK's recently, and a question jumps to mind. Which property is the preferred method for establishing a callback with an Audio Unit? There are examples of both in the SDK but the preliminary CA doc's lists only kAudioUnitPropertySetInputCallback while the current pdf omits it and instead defines kAudioUnitPropertySetRenderCallback. Am I wrong in suspecting that the former is now deprecated in favor of the latter?

thanks,
-Paul
