i see in making use of an AudioStreamBasicDescription that there is a
FormatID that i need to pass in. we are developing a new type for an
Audio Codec. what are the guidelines for defining a format ID to use
here? are there any?
i am really hesitant to just arbitrarily define a UInt32 for this.
