You can implement this straight away... the base class code in AUBase
will notice that there's no HostCallback_GetTransportState callback set
by the host, and give you back an error to say its not there... We've
been in communication with both Emagic and MOTU about this, but you'll
have to ask them about when they plan to support this.
Oh, I did also want to mention one other thing... One of the big issues
that has faced users moving from 9 to X is the inability to move
documents over with plugin info from plugs on 9 (either MAS or VST) to
AU's on X. So, in co-operation with both MOTU and Emagic, we've
described a mechanism that an AU can use to publish its previous
incarnation and be able to deal both with "preset" data as well as
automation data (including any parameter value range
changes/modifications) that might have occurred in that migration...
Details are covered in the SDK notes.
