Hi Jeremy,
It's an Evolution MK-225C.

Robert,
I wonder what your MIDI controller is? Because I have never seen that
behavior before although I have seen multiple note-offs which can also
cause problems with certain plug-ins.

I've been investigating my stuck notes issue a bit more and the
problem seems to be my MIDI controller generating duplicate note-ons
followed by a single note-off.
Most synths seem to handle this by (I imagine) having a toggle for
each note and so an additional note on is just thrown away. But a
couple of synths don't seem to do this allowing multiple note-ons for
the same note. (I can verify this by playing the stuck note and
hearing a new sound triggered - but the stuck note continues to play
after the note off - and the new sound is ended).
So what's the best approach here? Should I eliminate duplicate notes
automatically? Is it a bug in the synths? It's definitely a bug in
the hardware controller :-)
In the meantime I've implemented duplicate blocking and it's working
nicely - no more stuck notes!
Robert.
