altivec problems

Hi,

I'm having a weird problem with my AU render, which makes heavy use of Altivec.

On a debug build all is well. However on an optimised build, the sound cuts out completely after a short while. Looking in the debugger, it looks as though all my Altivec registers have suddenly taken the value 0x7fffdead7fffdead7fffdead7fffdead.

Anyone got any ideas? The only thing I can think is that the register file is getting hit by an interrupt, but I don't know why that would only happen on an optimised build.
