No, it modifies the pitch and affects the duration: shorter if pitched up, longer if pitched down. What you're looking for is called "time stretch". But yeah, it would be very very very nice if Apple CoreAudio guys had the idea to offer us a built in TimeStretcherAU :)))


Has someone tried with Java this processing  by manipulation in in real
time?
