Hi Jaime,

There are various 3rd party devices which will allow DTS to work from within the DVD Player, the limitation is that 10.3 and up is required. As for DTS support beyond that, I don't know.

On another list, an audio/video artist is discussing what formats to release his DVD on. The topic of DTS came up. That's a new area for me, but I have read the info article about DTS through G5 machines. It seems like there a lot of hoops in making sure everything is zeroed out, etc. Also, the G5 isn't ubiquitous (yet).

What are the best options for DTS without a G5, nor airtunes? Has anyone heard news from Apple about increased DTS support from within the OS?

I'm surprised that Macs don't have that area cornered, being multimedia machines and all.

thanks,

JLM
