Title: Re: MacOS-X OpenAL
I should also add that this list is generally about CoreAudio – so yes if the questions are about the implementation details of the OS X OpenAL, then its entirely appropriate. If the questions are more generally about OpenAL then this probably isn’t the best forum – there’s an OpenAL developer list available at the openal.org web site, and that has many people on it that can tell you general information about openal, differences between the platforms, etc... (so probably both are worth knowing about and using)

Mark,

This is a fine list to use for questions about OpenAL on OSX. As for books on the topic, maybe Garin can comment on any documentation available outside of the openal.org website.

There is an API document posted and if you do the cvs checkout of the sources and look over the headers and the test suite you can get a pretty good idea of how the APIs are used. Additionally, if you are already familiar with OpenGL, the APIs will seem familiar.

Hi,
Would this be right list to post questions regarding OpenAL on MacOS-X, as
there doesn't seem to list for that, from looking at lists.apple.com ???. As
I would like to learn how to use this, so my usual first port of call is
where are there a good books on this topic ???. I've had a look at
openal.org website and I found it not great.

Thanks
Mark.
