Explanation of AudioFileWritePackets

<x-tad-bigger>Can someone explain to me what the

SInt64 inStartingPacket argument of the AudioFileWritePackets() function does? I am trying to write a buffer in aiff format to a newly created file. I want it to start writing at the beginning of the file and to stop writing at the end of the file.

Thank you in advance for any clarification,

Alexander</x-tad-bigger>
